Handle M-BMS with care. It contains sensitive electronic components, including ICs assembled on a printed circuit board, and can be damaged, impair functionality, or cause injury if dropped, burned, punctured, crushed, disassembled, or if exposed to excessive heat or liquid or to environments having high concentrations of industrial chemicals. Do not use a damaged or tampered M-BMS.
When using this product in areas where the air is very dry, it is easy to build up static electricity. To minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge, avoid using this product in extremely dry environments, or touch a grounded unpainted metal object before performing wiring.
Always disconnect the vehicle's battery before working on electrical parts to avoid electric shock. Use the insulated tools when work on the HV compartment. Install with accessories provided with M-BMS to handle wires and connectors safely. If you're unsure about working with high voltage, get help from a qualified mechanic.
Use only the high-quality wires provided with the M-BMS. Don't add extra length or use different wires, as it may affect performance. Make sure all wires are tightly connected to avoid loose connections or short circuits. Follow the user/installation manual carefully to prevent damage to your vehicle or the M-BMS.
For complicated setups, or if you're unsure about your installation steps, contact a professional mechanic. Handle all components gently to prevent physical damage. Improper installation or damaged wires could cause a fire. Using the wrong parts or faulty installation can damage your vehicle's electrical system. Incorrect installation may void the M-BMS warranty.
Disclaimer: The M-BMS is designed to improve battery monitoring and management in Toyota Hybrid vehicles, but it cannot repair severely aged or damaged battery cells. If the battery's health is severely degraded beyond serviceable level, the M-BMS may not fully restore its performance. While it works with the vehicle's main ECU, it won't fix other unrelated issues, and a qualified mechanic should inspect your vehicle for any underlying problems.
Although the M-BMS can enhance fuel efficiency, factors like driving habits, environment, and road conditions also affect fuel consumption. It should be seen as an additional tool to optimize performance, not a guaranteed solution. While M-BMS may extend battery life and reduce service needs, following the recommended maintenance schedule remains essential for the best results.
Please note that installing the M-BMS may void your vehicle's manufacturer's warranty. The decision to install the M-BMS should be based on your own evaluation of the potential benefits and risks. Consult your local car dealer or check your vehicle's warranty documentation for specific details.
